Fort Bliss Commander Arrested for DWI

A Fort Bliss Commander is arrested and suspected of driving while intoxicated.

Colonel Shana Peck is the commander of the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Bliss.  A Post spokesman tells NewsChannel 9 COL Peck was arrested on August 11 for suspected DWI.  She has been temporarily suspended pending an investigation.  The Brigade’s Deputy Commander, LTC Bruce Bredlow, will be the acting commander.

According to the Post spokesman, the Brigade “remains ready and responsive and is fully trained and postured to meet all air defense missions should it be called upon.”

The incident remains under investigation.
