Bulldog Brigade at Fort Bliss Cases Colors Ahead of Deployment

Military

The Bulldog Brigade is getting ready for deployment.

On Wednesday, the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team at Fort Bliss held a color casing ceremony.  The Army tradition symbolizes the movement of the brigade to a different theater of operation.  The Bulldogs are deploying to South Korea for nine months.

“We’re ready for this mission,” Colonel Marc A. Cloutier said Wednesday.

Roughly 4,000 soldiers will be part of the deployment.

“This unit has trained consistently and constantly after its return from Kuwait a year ago and they’re ready.”

Cloutier said about 1,000 people from the unit are already in South Korea and the remainder will be traveling within the next week or two.

“We’re really looking forward to the mission ahead. It’s something new for the organization. It’s something new for all of us and it’s a very important mission.”
