A man suspected of murdering his father and sister in April was arrested by Las Cruces Police late Tuesday evening.

Ronald Dean Milton Jr., 35, was wanted by Oklahoma City Police for the April 14 deaths of his father, Ronald Dean Milton Sr., 63, and his sister, Brandy Maria Milton, 39.

Oklahoma detectives reported locating the bodies of inside a home in north Oklahoma City around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14. Both victims had “trauma consistent with homicide.”

LCPD learned Tuesday that Milton may possibly be in the Las Cruces area. Just before midnight on Tuesday, Milton approached firefighters at Fire Station 4 near Missouri and Telshor requesting to speak with police.

Arriving LCPD officers reportedly determined the man at the fire station was indeed Milton and took him into custody without incident.

Milton is currently being held without bond at the Doña Ana County Detention Center while he awaits extradition to Oklahoma to face two charges of first-degree murder.
