Thunderstorms put out strong outflow winds & heavy rainfall

EL PASO, TX (KTSM) - We have soggy weather in store tonight, Friday into Saturday. Some area rain showers and a few embedded storms will develop this afternoon and tonight, some with heavy
rainfall potential.

More numerous, strong thunderstorms with causing localized flash flooding are probable late Friday.

Even more moisture will work in on Friday, increasing the coverage of thunderstorms and also increasing the chances of flash flooding.

Upper level drier air moves over the Borderland late the Saturday.

While not completely eliminating thunderstorms, it will keep them more isolated from Sunday on, and mostly eliminate the flash flood threat.

Temperatures will be near normal today, and then drop to well below normal over the weekend due to the cloud cover.

We warm up slowly and dry out a bit soon.
