Local thrift shop helps low income students

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - Two local seniors just opened Bella's Bargains, a thrift shop located in the old custodian's living quarters behind Burges High School.

The thrift shop caters to low income and homeless students at Burges.

Twins Isabella and Arabella started Bella's Bargains after volunteering at a local middle school.

"They didn't have a lot of clothes so we gave them our clothes and then we realized there's probably low-income kids at Burges," said Isabella. "So why not give back to our immediate community too."

The shop is open to the general public. All proceeds will go towards purchasing items that can not be donated like underwear and feminine hygiene products.

Bella's Bargains is also in need of donations of men's clothing.
