The El Paso Locomotive FC season is about a month away, and some of the team kicked off before then with a media penalty kick-off, and shared their goals with KTSM.
“You can’t just be all business all the time for two months because you’re not going to build as a team and you’re not going to grow together,” Goalkeeper Logan Kettere shared, “So it’s been good to have events like this and just get to have some fun playing.”
Players shared some feedback and advice to media members who showed up to the field. These soccer professionals are building their teamwork and skills to show El Paso what they’ve got.
“I cant wait until our first game and to get out of the locker room and have our home field full of local people supporting us. It’s going to be a special moment seeing my family out there supporting myself,” Center midfielder Louis Herrera told KTSM.
Herrera, who is a local Locomotive player, shared a word of advice for up and coming athletes in the Borderland, “To keep working hard and always try to give their best in everything they want to achieve.”
The season officially begins on Saturday, March 9th. You can buy your tickets here.
