A hearing was held Thursday morning for the case involving a man accused of killing his estranged wife, her boyfriend, and her daughter.
Luis Javier Solis-Gonzalez allegedly killed 34-year old Marysol Saldivar, her daughter 13-year-old Cassaundra Holt and Saldivar’s boyfriend 42-year-old Eric Desantiago back in 2012.
A judge heard a motion to disqualify the prosecutor in the case and ruled to disqualify Assistant District Attorney Denise Butterworth.
The District Attorney’s Office says they disagree with the judge’s decision and plan to appeal. They say Butterworth has been the prosecutor assigned to the case from the beginning and the defense had never objected to her being the prosecutor until two weeks ago.
