Juarez drunk driving initiative

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Juárez Mayor Armando Cabada has announced a new initiative aimed at curbing drunk driving.

Starting Sept. 26, doctors will accompany Juárez police officers at several inspection points around the city.

All drivers stopped at the inspection station will be subjected to an alcohol test by the doctor. If a driver’s blood alcohol level is higher than the legal limit, they will be sent to jail.
