EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A fire ripped through a Northeast El Paso home Friday afternoon, Sept. 8 and three dogs were killed in the fire, according to a spokesman for the El Paso Fire Department.
The fire broke out along the 4700 block of Sierra Vista Drive. Fourteen fire units and 40 firefighters responded to the scene.
According to initial reports, the fire started in the backyard and caught the rear part of the home and a workshop on fire. The workshop and a recreational vehicle that was parked on the property are a total loss, fire officials said. The house was about 75 percent damaged.
No people were home during the fire and there were no injuries.
