A Horizon City man with an outstanding warrant for possessing a controlled substance is now behind bars for DWI, police announced Friday.

Police arrested Camden Villa, 21, after seeing him drive up to 60 miles per hour on the 3000 block of Pershing — a 30 mile-per-hour zone — at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say Villa had a blood alcohol content higher than .15, nearly twice the legal limit.

In addition to the warrant, Villa was also previously arrested for driving at an “unsafe speed” and consuming and possessing alcohol as a minor in 2016, according to court records.

Villa was booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
