Below normal temperatures and increased rain chances are expected today.
Rain chances will be increase to 10% throughout the day and 20% tonight and tomorrow as our next storm system arrives from the west.
This storm system will create widespread showers, however a slight chance for possible thunderstorms will be by the Sacramento Mountains.
Here is when you can expect some showers:
Noon: 10% chance of showers, increased showers by Deming and Silver City
2 p.m.: 10% chance of showers, rain chances increase in Las Cruces and El Paso
4 p.m.: 10% chance of showers, increased rain chances on I-25 between Las Cruces and T or C.
5 p.m.: 10% chance of showers, drying out in El Paso and Las Cruces
6 p.m.:10% chance of showers, drying out across the borderland
8 p.m.: 10% chance of showers
10 p.m.: 20% chance of showers across the borderland
Midnight: 20% chance of showers across the borderland
Not only did we see a cold front come in earlier this week, we will see more cold air come in with this next system.
This means we will see even cooler temperatures today and tomorrow. Forecast highs will be in the low to mid 60s, meaning we will be 5°-10° below average.
As we dry out and warm up, temperatures will become more season by Sunday. A slight warming trend will increase temperatures to the 80s by Monday.
As of right now it looks like our next wind event will come in Tuesday and Wednesday. As of right now, it looks like we won’t see any rain chances with this next event.
