Former UTEP standout to appear on ‘America’s Got Talent’


One former UTEP football standout and NFL long-snapper is making a magical transition from the stadium to the stage.

Jon Dorenbos will appear as a finalist on “America’s Got Talent” Monday night. 

Dorenbos, 37, played for the Miners from 2000 to 2002 and spent 11 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints.

His career ended in 2017 due to a life-threatening heart condition. Now, he dedicates his life to magic.
