The 4-2 Baltimore Ravens signed Jones back to their practice squad on Monday.
The former Burges standout was signed by the Ravens in August as an undrafted free agent just hours after the 2018 NFL draft.
He previously suited up for the Ravens during the preseason before suffering a hamstring injury.
Jones is one of just 10 players allowed by the NFL on the Ravens practice squad.
We have signed RB Mark Thompson, LB Alvin Jones and OT Randin Crecelius to the practice squad.
We have released DB Kai Nacua and WR Andre Levrone from the practice squad.— RavenSSSSSSSSSSS (@Ravens) October 15, 2018
During his UTEP career, Jones played in 47 games and made 43 starts. In 2016, Jones notched 102 tackles, two pass breakups, 4.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.
The Ravens will look to claim first place in the AFC North as they take on the Saints this Sunday.
