A 54-year-old man is behind bars after he was allegedly caught walking away from a home that had just been burglarized in Far East El Paso Sunday afternoon.

According to EPPD, the resident of a home in the 4900 block of Marcella Santillana in Far East El Paso arrived home around 3 p.m. Sunday and saw 54-year-old Brian Wright walking down the driveway away from the house.

When the homeowner walked inside his home, he noticed that things were out of place and property was missing. That’s when he went outside and snapped a photograph of Wright, his truck and the license plate as Wright drove away from the scene.

EPPD’s Pebble Hills officers obtained a warrant for Wright’s arrest and took him into custody on Wednesday for Burglary of a Habitation along with outstanding criminal warrants for possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding DWI 2nd offense warrant.
