Real estate website AreaVibes recently ranked El Paso among America’s top 10 best cities to live.

According to a news release, the Sun City earned the No. 7 ranking based on the city’s following attributes:

  • Amenities
  • Cost of Living
  • Crime
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Housing
  • Weather

“El Paso continues to be recognized for the great City we are,” said Mayor Dee Margo.

In addition to this latest ranking, El Paso was also selected as an All-America City last month, earned the Governor’s Achievement Award, and was named the fifth-best small city in America.

Forbes Magazine also recently listed El Paso as the city with the lowest cost of living.

“City staff has worked hard to continue helping El Paso become the best place to live,” said City Manager Tommy Gonzalez. “El Paso residents and businesses deserve the best, and we are striving to provide them with an improved quality of life and continued economic growth.”

Plano, Virginia Beach, and Irvine, Calif. earned the top spots.
