Viral video from SISD shows El Paso first graders’ awesome routine

A video shared by a Socorro Independent School District teacher on Twitter has gone viral with more than seven million views on social media.

It shows first grade students at Dr. Sue Shook Elementary entering the classroom and giving one of their peers a hug, handshake, high-five or a fist bump before entering the classroom.

“What a nice way to end our week,” tweeted Ms. Zelene Blancas on Nov. 30.

The tweet has been liked more than 44,000 times and retweeted more than 14,000 times.
