13 EPISD schools will release students early on day of President Trump’s visit

Thirteen El Paso Independent School District schools will release students early on Monday due to President Donald Trump’s visit.

The schools, all which are near the El Paso County Coliseum, will let the students out at noon in anticipation of the large crowds and potential traffic issues.

The schools impacted are:

  • Aoy Elementary Schools
  • Beall Elementary Schools
  • Burleson Elementary Schools
  • Clardy Elementary Schools
  • Cooley Elementary Schools
  • Douglass Elementary Schools
  • Hart Elementary Schools
  • Zavala Elementary Schools.
  • Guillen Middle School
  • Henderson Middle School
  • Bowie High School
  • Jefferson High School
  • Silva Magnet High School

The afternoon pre-kindergarten and Head Start sessions will be moved to the morning, the district said.

All after-school activities at these campuses will also be canceled, the district said.

 The rest of the schools in the district will work on a normal schedule.
