Dozens of soccer players from across the borderland are getting a chance to show off their skills in hopes of becoming part of El Paso’s new professional soccer team.
Registration for El Paso Locomotive FC open tryouts filled up within five days.
On Saturday and Sunday, more than a hundred area players will hit the field in what could be a life-changing opportunity.
“The professional team in El Paso is going to be a high level so it’s going to be difficult for any players to make the selection but we want to give them a chance,” said Bob Bigney. He is the Director of Soccer Operations for El Paso Locomotive FC.
For those soccer players who still want a chance to go for goal, there will be another round of open tryouts in January.
