The Diocese of El Paso announced multiple new pastoral assignments that will take effect at “various times” throughout this year.
According to a news release, the Diocese named Rev. Ben Flores the new Vicar General and moderator of the Curia. “Fr. Ben Flores is a priest who is well-respected by priests and laity in the Diocese,” Bishop Mark Seitz said. He will begin his new role on June 5.

In addition to the new assignments, the Diocese also announced retirements and relocations, including those of Rev. James (Buzz) Hall, Rev. Ben Montes, and Sr. Margie Silguero.
“New assignments are always challenging for all of us, priests and laity alike,” Bishop Seitz said. “I look forward with great anticipation to the gifts these priests will bring to new responsibilities as witnesses and messengers of the Good News of Christ.”
