Authorities in Southern New Mexico say drug smugglers used custom-made shoes to cover their tracks across the border.

On Tuesday, Border Patrol agents on an ATV spotted four men walking towards the U.S.-Mexico border near Lordsburg.

With the help of a helicopter, the agents were able to track the men to a hiding spot in the nearby brush.

Guard members found the men with more than $100,000 worth of marijuana. They were each wearing camouflage and shoes that masked their tracks.

The men are now facing criminal drug and immigration charges.
