Bel Air, Riverside to hire new football coaches for 2019

KTSM 9 Sports has confirmed Bel Air High School and Riverside High School will be hiring new head football coaches for 2019. That according to a source in the Ysleta Independent School District.

Tony Cervantes went 0-10 this past season with the Highlanders while Tony Pallanez went 3-7 with the Rangers.

Cervantes took over Bel Air’s program in 2013 and went 21-42 in six seasons. He led the Highlanders to two playoff appearances in 2017 and 2015.

Pallanez has been the head coach at Riverside since 2016 and went 9-21 in his three seasons.
