Bel Air High School defeated Valley View 4-3 (4-2) in penalty kicks in the 5A State Semi-Final boys soccer game on Thursday.
The Highlanders got on the board three minutes into the game with a missile off a free kick.
Valley View would score the next two goals to go into halftime with a 2-1 lead.
However, Bel Air fired back with about 25 minutes left to go when Bryan Guzman found the net.
Both teams traded goals in the final 8 minutes to send the game into overtime, however, the Highlanders had to play with one less player following a red card for a handball in the box.
Three Bel Air players later went down with cramps during the overtimes due to fatigue.
Bel Air had won 20 consecutive games to go into the playoffs and had dominated opponents throughout the entire playoffs.
The Highlanders will play for the state title on Saturday.
