A Fort Bliss Army wife, in the midst of packing, found a treasure that belongs to someone else.
“I used recycled paper to move and a ring fell and I thought it was mine,” Terri Rice said. “Then when I picked it up, I realized it’s not mine.”
Rice said she recently picked up some boxes and paper on post. When she took the items home to use them for a move, she found the simple silver ring.
The ring is inscribed, but NewsChannel9 is keeping that a secret, in hopes that the owner will recognize the ring and be able to identify it.
Rice says she believes the ring may belong to someone who recently moved to Fort Bliss. She says she’s trying to get the word out to help find the owner. That’s why she turned to a Facebook page for Fort Bliss spouses.
“It’s not mine and I would want somebody to return it.” She says honesty is hard to find these days and it’s important to her that the ring ends back up in the right hands.
She says Army wives have a close bond and it’s part of the camaraderie to help each other out.
