Animal Services to offer free pet adoptions Wednesday, Thursday

If you’ve been considering adding a furry friend to your pack, you’ll want to visit El Paso Animal Services this week!

The City-run shelter is offering free adoptions for dogs and cats on Wednesday and Thursday as part of its “Save Our Shelter” campaign. The neighboring Humane Society is also offering half-priced adoptions.

Animal Services will extend its adoption hours on both days from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

According to a news release, the shelter is hosting the promotion due to its large kitten and dog population.

In addition to the free adoptions, Animal Services will waive the $60 impoundment fee through June for any animal picked up by its owner. Daily handling fees will also be waived.

Those who want to help, but aren’t interested in adopting, can also donate canned and dry pet food, kitten powdered formula, towels, blankets, crates, and pet carriers.

For more information, visit the Animal Services Center located 5001 Fred Wilson or call 915-212-PAWS.
