All Cristo Rey holy week events canceled amid COVID-19

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Mt. Cristo Rey is closed until further notice amid COVID-19 pandemic.

This is in accordance with the New Mexico Governor mandates, The Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces, The Mt. Cristo Rey Restoration Committee, and local government agencies, a release said.

According to a release, no hiking will be allowed, and officials ask the public to respect private property in an effort to keep volunteers and the community safe.
