KTSM is learning more details into the stabbing death of a man in his Far East El Paso home last week.

As previously reported, Desiderio Agader III, 33, is accused of stabbing his father, Desiderio Agader II, 57, multiple times during a fight inside a home located on the 14200 block of Valour Point on July 18.

According to a complaint affidavit obtained by KTSM, the argument began when Agader III allegedly refused to take his slippers off as he entered the home.

The fight escalated and his mother, Priscilla Agader, was awoken by a loud bang.

Documents show that she then walked downstairs to see what the noise was when she saw her son holding what appeared to be an ax.

Priscilla Agader told investigators that her son began to threaten her with the ax, and told her to go back into her bedroom.

He refused to let her see her husband, according to the affidavit.

Priscilla Agader then returned to the second story of the home and yelled out a window for help.

A neighbor then went over to see what was going on. With blood on his hands, Agader III allegedly told him that he had killed his father.

While Agader III was outside with the neighbor, his mother then ran downstairs to the kitchen where she saw her unconscious husband lying in a pool of blood.

She told investigators that he had injuries to his chest and neck, and saw a knife on the floor next to him.

According to the affidavit, the El Paso County Medical Examiner’s Office discovered that Agader II sustained blunt force trauma to the head and severe lacerations to his neck.

The investigation determined that his death included foul play and the cause was a homicide.

Agader III was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $1 million bond.
