KTSM is learning more details of the shooting death of a Northeast El Paso woman last weekend.
As KTSM previously reported, Jamarr Lennel Birch, 35, is accused of shooting his wife, Jennifer Birch, 34, inside a home located on the 10300 block of Mackinaw.
According to a complaint affidavit, the couple was arguing over infidelity and sharing responsibilities at home before Jamarr Birch left to a nearby corner store.
Jennifer Birch later drove to the store to pick him up, and the argument continued in the car, according to documents.
Once the couple got home, the affidavit shows that Jamarr Birch told their children to get in their rooms.
He then reportedly walked to his car to retrieve a gun, walked back inside the home, and again began arguing with his wife in the kitchen.
According to the documents, Jennifer Birch allegedly yelled racial slurs at her husband before he allegedly fired the gun, striking her multiple times.
The affidavit reveals that Jamarr Birch then called his mother and told her that he shot his wife. He later called 911 and allegedly confessed to the shooting.
Jennifer Birch was taken to a local hospital where she later died from her gunshot wounds.
Jamarr Birch is being held in the El Paso County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
