UPDATE: EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – One person was injured Saturday, Dec. 24 in a rollover crash in Northeast El Paso near the state line, El Paso police reported.
Police say 35-year-old Kenneth Jones was driving along Edge of Texas street near the restaurant of the same name at about 5 p.m. when he crossed into the lanes of Gateway South without stopping, police said.
That caused a collision with another vehicle that was traveling on Gateway South.
Suzano Carrillo, 78, was a passenger in the other car which rolled over. Carrillo suffered what police called a medical emergency and was transported to a hospital in serious condition.
No other injuries were reported.
Police say the main contributing factor at this time is Jones’ failure to yield the right of way.
