Some Las Cruces residents will be without water service Friday night as crews work to repair a leak in a service line.
According to a news release, the outage is scheduled to take place from 10 p.m. to midnight in the areas near East Madrid, N. Solano, and Sexton.
Once water is restored, officials say customers may notice discolored water due to mineral deposits.
The water is safe to drink, but city officials recommend waiting to do laundry until after the water becomes clear.
Discoloration should stop within 24 hours, according to the release.
