Missing Dona Ana County woman returns home safely

UPDATE: 

A Dona Ana County woman who was reported missing last week is back home safe, according to the sheriff’s department.

Detectives say Amy Herrera, 22, of Tortugas saw her photo circulating social media and returned home over the weekend.

EARLIER:

The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department needs your help finding a woman who has been missing for several days.

According to a news release, Amy Herrera, 22, was last seen leaving her house in the Tortugas area on Monday.

She reportedly told her family that she was going for a walk, but never returned.

Herrera’s family told investigators that she suffers from multiple sclerosis and needs medication.

Detectives describe Herrera as 5’6″ and about 230 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing gray sweats and a gray sweater.
