17 Las Cruces couples say ‘I do’ for free on Valentine’s Day

Las Cruces News

The Dona Ana County Government offered free wedding ceremonies on Thursday to those love birds ready to reach the next big step in their relationship.

“Love is really in the air today we’ve seen couples coming in and they’re all smiles and they’re happy to be a part of the most romantic day of the year, said Dona Ana County Spokesperson Kelly Jameson, “and, of course, getting married on Valentine’s Day means hopefully they’ll never forget their anniversary.”

All it took to get married: A valid ID and $25 for a marriage license.

The county plans to do this every year on Valentine’s Day.
