Update: Man shot in East El Paso incident declines pressing charges; drugs, money and guns found in victim’s apartment

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit is conducting an investigation into a shooting that happened in East El Paso on Tuesday night.

According to EPPD, officers responded to a shooting Tuesday night at an apartment complex in the 7900 block of Viscount Boulevard. Officers found the 40-year-old victim with a gunshot wound, but responsive and coherent.

The victim described the offenders but stated he did not want to press charges. Drugs, money and guns were located inside the victim’s apartment.

A man was shot in East El Paso late Tuesday night, according to the El Paso Police Department.

EPPD sent a notification around 10:30 p.m.

According to investigators, it happened in the 7900 block of Viscount Boulevard near Cielo Vista Mall.
