EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The latest on the body found Wednesday morning in a border canal.
UPDATE: The woman who drowned has been identified by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office as Natividad Quinto Crisostomo, 19, from Paracho Michoacan, Mexico.
Her body was found at about 6:10 a.m. by Border Patrol in the River Side Canal East towards Clint.
The Major Crime Unit and Crime Scene deputies were requested to take over the case, the sheriff’s office said.
ORIGINAL: A woman’s body has been discovered in a water canal in the San Elizario/Clint area, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The body was found Wednesday morning near Las Pompas Road and Petunia/Herring and Chicken Ranch Road.
