Wednesday’s weather: Rain chances return

El Paso News
Clouds over Clint

El Paso saw .02″ of rain at the airport Tuesday, and up to an inch of rain in parts of West El Paso.

Lightning caused over an hour delay at the Chihuahuas game Tuesday night, and there may be a repeat tonight.

Subtropical air will mainly be concentrated over western New Mexico, which means thunderstorms will be in the forecast each evening through the weekend, but the best chances will be over the mountains and areas west of Deming.

Storms will also be slow moving, and can produce heavy rainfall, which means flash flooding will be possible each day. El Paso will see much better rain chances starting Friday and into the weekend.
