A Wind Advisory will go into effect at 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. across the borderland.
El Paso, Las Cruces, Juarez, Deming, Silver City, Van Horn, Truth or Consequences, and Alamogordo will all be under the Wind Advisory.
Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, and Guadalupe Pass will all be under a High Wind Warning from 8 a.m.- 12 a.m. tomorrow.
Winds will come from the West at 25-35+ mph and gusts 50+ mph. Peak wind speeds will be between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. But you can start to see patchy blowing dust as early as 11 a.m.
These winds can create dangerous driving conditions for high profile vehicles and motorcycles.
Wind speeds will be increased because of a Pacific storm is making its way in from our West. This system will also keep a 10% chance of showers in the forecast for today. But these rain chance will taper off around 4 p.m. today.
This system is also brining in colder air that will drop our temperatures down tomorrow.
We will go from more seasonal temperatures today to lower 50s tomorrow. We will be at least 10° below normal. We are expected to be back in the 60s by the weekend.
We will dry out throughout the rest of our week and see more rain chances by Sunday that will last until Monday. Also on Monday, wind speeds are expected to be breezy to windy once again.
