A KTSM Weather Authority Alert will be in effect until Tuesday evening due to a strong cold front moving into the El Paso area.
The Borderland will experience its first taste of winter this fall season early into the week.
Models are hinting at an 11 p.m. arrival tonight for this backdoor front, which means we will see a windy evening with overnight lows falling into the upper 40’s.
We expect to see a more than 20° drop between Sunday’s forecast high to Monday’s afternoon high.
There is a very slight chance for some rain Monday evening, with better rain chances Tuesday morning into the early afternoon, before clearing out.
Highs expected in the low 50’s Monday and Tuesday, with upper 50’s Wednesday and then 60’s return by mid week next week.
