A winter storm coming from our west and a backdoor cold front from our east will drop our temperatures to more winter-like temperatures today.
A Pacific storm system and cold front coming into our area will increase rain chances to 40% for today. Cold temperatures will contribute to some wintery mix, more so in Las Cruces. In El Paso, temepratures will be too warm meaning wintery mix will be limited and we will see more wide spread showers.
Showers are expected to come between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. this morning. We should dry out completely by 3 p.m. today.
A backdoor cold front coming from our east moved in cold Canadian air overnight as well. A mixture of our Pacific storm system and this bacjdoor cold front is what will drop our high temperatures nearly 20° today.
We will see a breezy start to the morning, but as that Pacific storm system moves to our east, winds will get windy in our later afternoon hours. They will die down by our later eveving hours back to more breezy conditions.
High pressure will contribute to dry and clear conditions by Wednesday.
Our next chance for some more showers and breezy to windy conditons will be on Thursday night into Friday.
