Water main break on Joe Herrera

A water main break has left about 30 Northeast El Paso residents without water Tuesday morning.

A El Paso Water Utilities spokesman confirmed that an eight-inch water main break in the 5000 block of Joe Herrera Drive, near Mount Olympus Drive, had to be repaired.

In order to fix it, crews had to shutoff the leak.

Joe Herrera was also closed from Mount Olympus to Raymond Telles as crews worked on the break. The road will also have to be repaired.

The water main break is expected to be fixed by Tuesday afternoon. It is unknown when the road should be repaired.
