Vigil for the Tippin Elementary School accident planned, EPISD says

Five days after a parking lot accident killed a mother and injured three children, the West side school community will have a vigil service for those affected. 

El Paso Independent School District confirmed there will be a vigil at 6 p.m. Saturday at Christ the King Church on Resler for both families impacted in the Tippin Elementary School deadly crash.

The crash killed Kharisma James, injured her two children and severely injured a 10-year-old boy. Athindra Satish Kumar has been connected to a ventilator, but is recovering his father said. 

James’ two children, a 6-year-old and 7-year-old, are now out of the hospital.
