UPDATE: Silver Alert canceled, woman found safe

UPDATE:

Police say Rosa Maria Hernandez, 63, was located early Tuesday morning and returned safely to her family. EPPD thanks the community for assisting in locating the missing woman. 

EARLIER:

El Paso Police are hoping to locate a 63-year-old woman who refused to get on the bus to take her back home and hasn’t been seen since.

Rosa Maria Hernandez, 63, suffers from epilepsy and is in need of medication, police say. She was last seen on Monday, June 18 at the intersection of Alameda and Padres in the Lower Valley. 

Hernandez is described as 5-foot-3-inches tall, 130 pounds, with short, reddish colored hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue shirt with yellow flowers, beige pants, yellow socks and black slippers.

If you know the whereabouts of Ms. Hernandez, you’re asked to call EPPD’s Crimes Against Persons Unit at (915) 832-4400 or in the case of emergency, contact 911.
