UPDATE: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz was set to be in El Paso on Friday, but due to the uncertainly of the Judge Brett Kavanaugh hearing and potential Supreme Court vote, his visit has been postponed.

Ticket holders to the event were informed of the postponement via email on Thursday. 

ORIGINAL: U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz is scheduled to make a campaign stop in El Paso on Friday, Sept. 28.

The El Paso County Republican Party said the event will be held at Sportsman’s Elite Archery and Gun Pro Shop on Doniphan in West El Paso.

The event is invitation only.

However, the event could be canceled or postponed if the Senate votes on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.
