El Paso News

A pacific storm system will come into our area for today increasing rain chances and wind speeds.

A 20% chance of showers will be in the forecast for today. We will also see increased cloud coverage because of the storm system making its way in from our West.

Wind speeds are expected to be breezy to windy this afternoon. Winds will come from the Southwest at 25-30 mph, and gusts at 35 mph. We are expecting to see our peak wind speeds between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. today.

This storm system will be slow to move out of our area meaning we will keep a 20% chance of showers in the forecast for Wednesday as well.

As the system contimues to move East on Wednesday, this will increase wind speeds even more. Winds are expected to come from the West at 25-35 mph and gusts 40 mph.

Cold air will also come with this system meaning we will see a near 10° temperature drop on Thursday. We will also see dry air come into the area Thursday and Friday, meaning conditions will be mostly clear.

We will warm back up into the 60s by the weekend. We will also see a 10% chance of more showers Sunday and Monday.
