Tuesday night storms roll through El Paso, Borderland

El Paso. Las Cruces and other parts of the Borderland saw plenty of rain, thunder and lightning Tuesday night.

Scattered storms popped up across the city around 8 p.m., soaking neighborhoods and major roadways.

A Flood Advisory was issued for SW Otero County, SE Dona Ana County, NM…NW El Paso County, TX Until 10:15 PM MDT tonight. Radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This produced street & arroyo flooding in the advisory area. Storms dumped up to one inch of Doppler radar estimated rainfall in 20 to 30 minutes.

Outflow winds then produced storms over Mesilla, Nm and west Las Cruces, NM.
