East El Paso County and West Doña Ana County is in for some rain and possible flooding Thursday evening.

The storms are expected to hit starting around 6pm and last until midnight. After midnight, storms will decrease and become more scattered.

The Sun City woke up to an increase in moisture in the atmosphere, which is a set up of what can be expected later in the evening.

A cold front is moving toward the Borderland and when mixed with the increase of moisture, we can expect better chances for thunderstorms and rain tonight.

Because of the plentiful amount of moisture in the atmosphere, some of these storms have the possibility to produce heavy rainfall, which could lead to street flooding.

Friday’s forecast shows another round of storms. That means flooding will once again be a concern.

It will not be likely that this storm system will produce any hail.

Make sure to get your sandbags for the coming days.
