Officials with the Socorro Independent School District have locked down three schools in the Pebble Hills area following a report from a concerned parent.

Pebble Hills High School, Puentes Middle and Butler Elementary have all been placed in a ‘reverse evacuation’ – meaning no one is allowed in or out of the school – until further notice.

The parent contacted SISD Thursday morning for help locating their child who may have left home with a weapon. El Paso Police, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Socorro ISD Police responded to the area to assist.

All law enforcement entities are working together to provide security to the three schools while they also attempt to locate the missing student.
