Texas Equusearch called in to search for missing Sul Ross State student

Alpine Police are on day five of a search for a missing a possibly endangered 22-year-old Sul Ross State University Student who went missing last week.

ZuZu Renee Verk was last seek during the early morning hours of Wednesday October 12, 2016 and hasn’t been seen or heard from again. According to interviews with Verk’s mother, she was supposed to go on a date on Tuesday night and she failed to show up on Wednesday morning to a midterm exam or to her shift at work.

On Sunday, Alpine Police released photos of two vehicles believed to be involved in Verk’s disappearance, a grey 2006 Jeep Liberty and a 2004 Mazda Miata convertible with a beige top. The vehicles were being driven around Alpine between the hours of midnight at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 12.

Verk is a native of Coppell, Texas near Dallas but moved to Alpine in the Big Bend Region to attend Sul Ross State University, where she was also employed.

She is described as a petite female, 5’0″, weighing 110 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Texas Equuusearch has been brought in to assist Alpine Police and Customs Border Protection Air and Marine in the search for Verk.
