Teenager hit by vehicle in front of Magoffin Middle School in Northeast El Paso

A teenager was struck by a vehicle in front of a Northeast El Paso middle school.

An El Paso Independent School District spokesman confirmed that a 15-year-old Irvin student was struck at around 12:30 p.m. in front of Magoffin Middle School at Hercules Avenue and Diana Drive.

He broke his arm and was taken to University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

The El Paso Police Department and Fire Department responded to the scene.

The accident was caused when the teen allegedly ran out into traffic, the spokesman said.
