El Paso News

El Paso Police have identified the teen who was allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery at an east El Paso pawn shop last Friday as 18-year-old Armando Ramirez.

According to investigators, Ramirez entered the Cash America Pawn located at 1912 Lee Trevino around 9 a.m. Friday morning and was allegedly trying to leave the store without paying for an amplifier.

The store management reportedly approached Ramirez about the theft when Ramirez allegedly pulled a knife on them and ran from the store.

Pebble Hills Tactical units were able to locate Ramirez and place him under arrest for Aggravated Robbery. At the time of the incident, EPPD indicated that two females were also taken into custody in this incident. It is unclear of those women are facing charges or not at this time.

Ramirez was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $20,000 bond. He posted bond and was released on Wednesday.
