A suspected drunk driver caused $2,000 in damage to an El Paso Fire Department truck last week.

The fire department confirmed the cost and shared photos with KTSM on Tuesday.

Jorge Conde, 44, was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he crashed his Ford Mustang into a pumper unit at about 9 p.m. in the 10500 block of Montwood.

Conde was charged with DWI 3rd or more and booked into El Paso County Jail under a $100,000 bond. Court records show this is his fifth DWI charge.

The cost of repairs will be to fix structural damage to the back door and scratches that will have to be repainted, officials with the fire department said.
