Reward increases for ‘high-risk’ El Paso sex offender

Texas DPS has increased the reward for information leading to the capture of a “high-risk” sex offender from El Paso.

According to a news release, the reward now stands at $8,000 if the tip is reported during the month of October. 

Officials say Manuel Raul Maese, 64, has been wanted since March 2015 for indecent exposure and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Maese is known to have an “extensive” criminal record in the El Paso area, including a conviction for indecency with a child and six convictions for indecent exposure.

Maese is described as 5’9″ and approximately 201 pounds. Investigators say he has used alias of “Manuel Montalvo” in the past and may also be known as “Manny.”

He is considered armed and dangerous, according to his wanted bulletin.

Anyone with information on Maese’s location is asked to contact the authorities in one of the following ways:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
